Modern Fine Art presents "Framed: People and Places" an online exhibition showcasing the vision of our gallery’s contemporary photographers. In this curated collection, the artists capture the essence of the human form, environments, and landscapes through distinctive lens and innovative techniques.
This exhibition presents works by Jean-François Rauzier, Miru Kim, Francesco Da Vinci, Annina Roescheisen and Jay Zukerkorn. Each of these artists redefines the boundaries of photography by showcasing personal perspective into their creative process.
Miru Kim immerses herself within urban and desert environments, using her own body to challenge ideas of presence and vulnerability. Similarly, Jay Zukerkorn’s images, inspired by his movement disorder, evoke the fragile, fading quality of memory. Jean-François Rauzier, on the other hand, constructs his enviroments with meticulously detailed, hyperreal compositions by layering thousands of high-resolution photographs. In her photographs, Annina Roescheisen explores the emotional power of color itself, and how hues communicate states of being and the human experience. Meanwhile, Francesco Da Vinci brings an emotive immediacy to his portraits, whether of celebrities or everyday individuals, drawing from his background in fashion to capture moments that feel both intimate and timeless.
Each artist uses the photographic medium as a means to explore deeper questions of the human experience, and the landscapes we live within.
